Economy and development
Starting with a responsible fiscal policy, we need to cut back on unnecessary spending and regulate the use of the dollar itself. One of congress’s main responsibility is to regulate the currency, unlike the popular misconception that it is the role of the FED, in reality that authority has been inappropriately delegated to them.
A main problem is the willingness to use the dollar as the world’s primary means of laundering money deflating the value of the dollar with more and more of it in circulation at least on the books.
The value of the dollar is inversely related to the usability of the dollar by foreign markets as opposed to directly related to the value of an asset/commodity or a representation of wealth. This has caused the devaluation of the dollar as a result of up to 70% of the currency in circulation being outside of the country.
With only about 30% left to the people to circulate this causes circulation and inflation problems, with the inflationary trend continuing to devalue the currency and allowing it to be sent out of the country at the same time. There should be a cap on physical currency holdings by foreigners, Congress needs to seriously consider this problem.
After that we should focus on trades, mining, infrastructure, and development as the main driving forces behind the economy as opposed to war, service fields, and speculation.
